Bruno Abrantes, CEO and Founder of HandyHostel, receive the “Best Startup” prize at the Portugal Trade Award by Publituris at the Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa 2023 event.
HandyHostel won the “Best Startup” category at the Portugal Trade Award by Publituris, competing with important Portuguese startups such as LUGGit, Merytu and Pleez, among others. The Award recognizes companies and professionals who stood out in the Tourism sector in 2022. The announcement occurred at the largest Tourism event in Portugal, the Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa 2023, and considered the work developed, innovation capacity, media visibility, national and international distinctions, and official statistical data of these entities.

The jury was composed of several personalities, representatives of associations, Secretaries of State for Tourism, entrepreneurs, and professionals from companies in the sector, including Vitor Costa (President of Turismo de Lisboa), Vitor Neto (former Secretary of State for Tourism), Cristina Vieira (Vice President of AHP – Portuguese Hospitality Association), Pedro Machado (President of Turismo do Centro), Francisco Pita (COO of ANA – Airports of Portugal), and representatives from companies such as NescafĂ©, Lufthansa Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Air France KLM & Delta Airlines, Savoy Signature, and NOS.
