Tourism trends for 2021

Forbes magazine released some of the best destinations to travel to in 2021. Well, if you think that travel has toke a break because of the pandemic, you are wrong.

A lot of people have been planning to visit different destinations this year and the new context we are living in has made people start to get out of the obvious and look for incredible places to visit.

Are you ready for that list?

Kenya

African countries stood out in the top destinations for 2021. Top of the list is Kenya. Considered a destination until traditional for those who love to know nature and wildlife as it is, it has always been an almost sacred place. Now, the country’s popularity is increasing thanks to its luxurious hotels and resorts in the middle of the savannah.

As for the pandemic, after the open borders, in August 2020, it became even easier to book stays that until then were practically impossible to be so coveted. One example is the famous Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, and the luxury tented camp Sasaab, Segera, and Angama Mara.

Costa Rica

Remembered by many for its exuberant nature and rich fauna and flora, this small country in Central America is on this list not by chance.

Costa Rica has maintained one of the lowest Covid-19 fatality rates in Latin America and its government has been recognized for its successful management and containment of the virus, so when the country reopens on November 1 to all Americans who meet the requirements, travelers will be able to return feeling a sense of confidence.

Costa Rica also recently became the first country in Central America to legalize same-sex marriage, demonstrating its commitment to welcoming all travelers.

New Zealand

This small country that seems to be isolated from the world caught everyone’s attention for its performance in facing Covid-19. With very low contamination rates, New Zealand has become even more popular. Nature lovers probably already had the country on the list.

After all, its landscapes that mix snow, beach, mountains, and fjords at short distances from each other are breathtaking.

Mexico

Mexico was one of the first countries to reopen its borders to American travelers. I even recommend not only that you get to know the famous beaches of Cancún, for example. My tip, in fact, is to let you know the center of the country. This, without any doubt, is a region, very rich in culture and history.

The history of the foundation of the country is already incredible, but I will leave it up to you to discover it personally because it is very worthwhile.

With archaeological sites, museums, and unique food, Mexico City is undoubtedly one of the best destinations in America.

Egypt

This is another of the African countries to join the list. Many experts even claim that 2021 is the year of Egypt. Officially the largest archaeological museum in the world, the long-awaited Grand Egyptian Museum will be fully open in 2021.

Located close to the Great Pyramids, it will be filled with dazzling exhibitions, including one showcasing every artifact found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun.

Also, the country is considered a cheap tourist destination and has good hotels at affordable prices.

Check out other countries that are also on the list:

  • Slovenia
  • Tahiti
  • Rwanda
  • Qatar
  • Tunisia
  • Maldives
  • Ireland
  • Puglia, Italy
  • Antarctica
  • Bodrum, Turkey
  • South Africa
  • Greece
