Four hundred guests in luxury rooms overlooking the Earth. This is the promise of the company Orbital Assembly Corporation (OAC), which announced the start of construction of the hotel in space for the year 2025.
According to the company, the luxury hotel, which will be called “Voyager Station”, is divided into individual capsules attached to a rotating wheel and will have the capacity to accommodate 400 people in total. The expectation is to sell parts of it to government agencies, who can use the environment for work and leave the rest to adventurous tourists.
The hotel will also have themed restaurants, spa, cinema, gyms, libraries, concert halls, Earth observation rooms, and bars. Other things like crew accommodation, air, water, and energy will also play a part. The official OAC website also states that the sports-oriented capsule “will transform into a concert hall where the greatest musicians on the planet will rock the station while it circles the planet”.

The construction
“Voyager Station is a rotating space station designed to produce various levels of artificial gravity, increasing or decreasing the rate of rotation. Artificial or simulated gravity is essential for long-term housing in space, ”explains the official website.
The accommodation will be built by robots and drones at the Von Braun Space Station. Shaped like a giant wheel about 190 meters in diameter, it will slowly rotate to produce a gravitational pull, according to My Modern Met.
The outer ring of the wheel will have 24 pressurized capsules. These include hotel rooms, residences, government research centers, and special rooms for space station staff.
The futuristic look might not set the tone for the space station, which will be lined with fabrics, warm lights, and textures that help guests feel at home. Photographs of the project show that it really must look a lot like ordinary hotel rooms. The main difference will be in the window view, of course.

“Looking beyond 2030, the Von Braun Space Station is a proof of concept for the next project of the Gateway Foundation, which is a type of station called The Gateway, which will house more than 1,400 people. They will be true cities in space that will be intermediate ports for those who come and go from the moon and Mars”, explained Tim Alatorre, the architect responsible for the project.

“This will be the next industrial revolution,” said John Blincow, founder of the Gateway Foundation, which will develop some of Voyager’s capsules. A robot by the name of STAR (Structure Trust Assembly Robot) will build the Voyager structure in orbit as soon as the OAC completes some gravity tests. Both the Gateway Foundation and the OAC ask people to invest in the project and make reservations for a future visit.
